Solo midocean is always working to improve our services and make your online experience easy. After launching our new and improved menu interface last month, we are now planning to change our product category structure in September.

If you are using our product data from our APIs or SFTP-server, it is important to read the information below. If you do not use our product data in your own solutions, you may skip the remaining part of this message.

The new category structure will become effective as of date 20/09/2025. APIs From that moment onwards, the output of the product information REST API will change and contain the new categories.

Also, if you’re a user of our webservices (SOAP-based) the delivered file will change.

SFTP

Are you retrieving product data from our SFTP server? In that case, please pay attention:

• Prodinfo_.xml: these files will NOT change.

• Prodinfo__v1.1.xml files WILL change.

• Prodinfo_.csv files WILL change. In other words, unless you are using the older prodinfo.xml files, you will be affected by this change.

Please check your automations/code in which way you will need to adapt. Product data itself will not change because of this, every product might just point to a different category name.

Important: SFTP support will end on December 1st, 2025

From December 1st onwards, we will no longer support file exchange through SFTP. Downloading files after this date is no longer guaranteed. If you’re still using this service, we highly recommend moving towards our REST APIs, where all future development and improvement will be applied.
